Why should churches invest in the Brave Series?
Our teens live in a world that bombards them with messages that undermine their God-given value and purpose and normalize damaging choices. In addition, many teenagers have already experienced pain or trauma in their lives that is unhealed, leaving them feeling alone and unsure of how to overcome fear, rejection, shame, anger, sadness, and anxiety.
Teens who struggle with having confidence and a vision for a positive future tend to be more vulnerable to being exploited.
Though youth leaders and pastors are starting to become aware of the pressures teens face online, many are unsure how to address difficult topics such as pornography or relationships.
In addition, few are aware of how common it is for girls and boys across socio-economic backgrounds to be groomed, coerced, and trapped into sex trafficking by friends and classmates. Front-liners have reported that groomers often target church-going youth and have succeeded in recruiting teens from church youth groups.
The Brave Series, a powerful discipleship tool, empowers youth in life, leadership, and their God-given purpose.
The Brave Series encompasses two four-volume series: Brave & Beautiful for teen girls and Brave & Bold for teen guys, plus accompanying teacher Guides. A co-ed series, Brave Together, is currently in the works.
The articles, many written by pastors and church leaders, will grow your teens’ faith and impart godly wisdom and perspectives. Volume 4 of the series equips students with practical ways to safeguard themselves and others from exploitation and sex trafficking victimization.

How to use The Brave Series in a church setting.
There are many different ways to use the Brave Series in a church or youth group setting:
Some churches may use the Brave Series as their curriculum for a season of their Sunday morning youth ministry.
Others may encourage teens to work through the Brave Series at home with support from parents or a mentor.
Alternatively, a church might use the Brave Series as a curriculum for a youth retreat or summer camp.
The Brave Series comes in two versions: faith (for those of Christian faith) and classic. The faith version contains many scripture references and is focused on building teens’ relationship with God.
Whatever your approach and time constraints, our Teacher Guides provide hundreds of activities and reflection questions that you can use to quickly plan sessions that will spark transformation among your youth.
